6:30 AM.

Breakfast will not be served.

AM Pre-School and Early Bird classes are cancelled.

Students may enter the buildings two (2) hours after the normal
starting time.

Closings

8:15 AM is the latest any changes will be made on delays and
cancellations.

If schools are closed due to weather, no activities in any building of
any type may take place until after 1 PM.

Scheduled school events may continue pending notification.

Student Safety

A major concern is for the students who are left alone during
delays, cancellations and early releases. Parents should have a
plan in place to ensure proper supervision of their children in these
situations.

The weather and wind chill are deciding factors in school delays
and closings.

Parents have the choice if they feel it is unwise to send their
child(ren) to school during severe weather conditions. Such
absences will be considered excused.

Calamity Days

A school district may close five (5) days due to weather. If a school
district closes more than five (5) days due to weather, an additional
day must be added to the school year for each day over five (5). The
Lima City Board of Education policy is to add the day at the end of
the school year.
