State Report Cards The 2008-2009 State Report Cards were released Aug. 25 and there are many reasons to celebrate in the Lima City Schools.The Lima City School District is now rated Continuous Improvement! Heritage Elementary School maintained its Excellent rating for the second consecutive year! Independence Elementary School is rated Excellent for the first time. Independence is the second school to receive the Excellent rating! The Lima Senior High School of Multiple Intelligences is the first high school at Lima Senior to receive the Effective rating. The school also met AYP! 7 of 11 schools are rated Excellent to Continuous Improvement: Excellent - Heritage and Independence Effective - Lima Senior High School of Multiple Intelligences Continuous Improvement - Freedom, Liberty, Lima Senior High Progressive Academy and Lima Senior High Performance Based School Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) The Lima Senior High School of Multiple Intelligences met AYP, meeting growth standards in all subgroups. District-wide 26 subgroups met AYP in reading and 36 subgroups met AYP in math. Eight schools increased their Performance Index (PI) Score over last year: Heritage/ +.6 Lima Senior High School of Multiple Intelligences /+14.3 Liberty/+2.3 Unity/+3.2 Lima North Middle School/+2.2 Lima South Middle School/+1 Lima Senior High Performance Based School/+10.1 Lima Senior High Progressive Academy/+9.8 We are proud of our students and staff for these ratings and we are working each day to improve!
