Welcome to Heritage Elementary School. We are the largest elementary school in the Lima City Schools.
We are a school committed to educating all children in a positive, safe and nurturing environment that promotes a passion for life-long learning.
Our teachers and staff strive to give students the necessary tools needed to become life-long learners and productive community members. We work to create the best learning opportunities for all because we truly believe in each individual child.
Heritage has a diverse staff made up of both veteran and new teachers. That brings both fresh ideas and a wealth of knowledge together into one building. There is much collaboration benefiting our students.
Through the K-Kids Club, a partnership with the Lima Kiwanis Club, our students learn about community service and helping others. They also learn that from Lima Senior High Schools students who come to work with our children through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
Heritage has a strong music program, including the Heritage Harmonics singing group and a show choir. Some of our students are learning to play the ukulele. Our students also participate in programs like DARE and get great fieldtrip experiences.
Parents are pivotal to our success. We have an active Parent Teacher Association that organizes fundraisers and activities for our students, including a Fall Fun Day and Field Day in the spring.
I invite you to come and visit and tour our building. To schedule a visit, call 419-996-3390. You will see what a wonderful and nurturing place Heritage is and why I am so proud to be here.
