Welcome to Lima North Middle School, a place where we develop learning for a lifetime of success.
North is a special place because it is the beginning of the middle school experience. Fifth and sixth-graders come together in one building from our feeder elementary schools.
That means new beginnings, more independence, new experiences and new friendships. It is an exciting time for students and exciting for all of us at North to watch. I love being able to be a part of this transition and to help students develop independence and character.
There is a lot for our students to experience here. We have two full computer labs and two mobile labs.
Students participate in band, choir or orchestra. We also offer African drumming and keyboarding classes. We have a Quiz Bowl team and a Builders Club, a partnership with the Lima Kiwanis Club that teaches students to give back. Every quarter, the school participates in a fundraiser to raise money and awareness for a community organization.
The staff here goes above and beyond for students. There is much collaborating and team planning. We offer a before and after-school program to help students with math and reading and we celebrate their successes all the time.
Quarterly celebrations award students for grades, attendance, positive behavior and special achievements. Students also earn Spartan Bucks to use to buy things in the Spartan Store. Students help run the store.
We have an active Most Valuable Parent (MVP) program. A meal and program bring families together once a month. We also hold other family activities, including a Bingo and Chili Night.
Please come by and see our school and meet our staff.
