The Skills X class is a career/technical education class that utilizes various businesses in the Lima community as learning labs. Students receive on-the-job training.

 

Students develop job and employability skills in a hands-on setting. The worksite provides a positive work environment that teaches students teamwork and leadership skills. Students develop self-confidence and pride in their abilities. And this helps prepare them for the transition to the real world after graduation.

 

Students graduating from this program go to work in restaurants, hotels, long-term care facilities and community organizations like the Elderly Day Care Center.
