The The Lima City Schools Athletic Hall of Fame will induct its next class in February. Tickets to the banquet are now available.
Below are this year’s inductees.
Athlete: Jim Cory, Teal George, Suerethia Henderson, Andre Horton, Mike Hunter, Jay Thomas and Rion Thompson.
Coach: Leonard Crosley and Emmanuel Curtis
Team: 2016 800m Relay State Champions, 1980 Softball, 1989 Football and 1965 200-yard Freestyle
Contributor: Wayne and Steve Brown, and Dr. Gene Wright
Legacy: Howard Family
The Hall of Fame honors teams, athletes, coaches and contributors from Lima Senior, Central High School and South High School.
The inductees will be honored at the Feb. 6 Lima Senior home basketball game and again during a dinner and program Feb. 7 at the UNOH Event Center.
Tickets are $50 a piece, or $400 for a table of eight. Tables of 12 are available for $600. Tickets are available in the Lima Senior Athletic Office or can be purchased online here
The deadline to purchase tickets is Jan. 25. No tickets will be sold after this date and no tickets will be sold at the door.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., with an Inductee Meet and Greet starting at 5 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 7:30 p.m.
