LSH Music Honor Society inducts members, installs officers

The Lima Senior High School Tri-M Music Honor Society recently inducted new members and installed officers.

This year’s officers are:

Public Relations Saniya Wadley

New members are Angel Bryant, Genevieve Chongson, Wesley Combs, Desire Dobson, Sofia Elguera, Julie Emerick, Senaya Estorcien, Serenity Fails, Dameon Fletcher , Charlie Graham, Andrew Holthouse, Essence Jacobs, Lavender Johnson, Reggie Jones, Kamiah Lee, A’Mya Martin, Sophie McKinley, Moriah Mclaughlin, Acie Myers, Jaleigh Smith , Lillian Stoner, Pamela Williams and Jaelia Wilson.

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), which focuses on creating future leaders in music education and music advocacy. It is the only music honor society for high school students in the United States and recognizes students who have gone above and beyond both academically and musically. There are more than 2,100 chapters across 50 states and 15 countries and involves more than 84,000 students in grades 6-12.

Students must have a 3.0 GPA and an A average in music classes and demonstrate respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, fairness, caring and citizenship along with a teacher nomination to be a part of Tri-M.
